The Healthcare Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. This role ensures exceptional customer experience by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing accurate information related to healthcare services, billing, insurance claims, and appointments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to patient and provider inquiries via phone, email, or chat in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Assist patients with scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and understanding billing statements.
  • Handle complaints and escalate complex issues to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions in the system.
  • Educate patients on healthcare services, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations when handling sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (billing, clinical staff, insurance) to resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Meet or exceed performance metrics such as call handling time, customer satisfaction, and resolution rates.
