The Associate Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process for all products, materials, and services required by SMEG Philippines. This role includes ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining inventory levels. The Associate Purchasing Manager will work closely with internal departments to align procurement strategies with company objectives.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance to management.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the consumer goods or appliances industry.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
