This role will directly report to the NPI Engineering Director.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate test fixtures, jigs, and automated test systems for new products and processes.
• Modify and optimize existing test equipment to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
• Develop custom test scripts and software (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, or C-based tools) to automate testing and data acquisition.
• Integrate new hardware and software solutions to enhance test capabilities.
• Execute and oversee functional, electrical, and reliability testing for prototypes and pre-production units.
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting of PCBAs, circuits, and system-level failures.
• Work closely with design and manufacturing teams to resolve test-related issues.
• Utilize statistical methods and data analysis tools to assess product performance and yield.
• Generate detailed test reports and validation summaries, providing recommendations for product or process enhancements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure test repeatability and compliance.
• Identify inefficiencies in test processes and propose automation or process enhancements.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to refine product designs for testability (DFT) and manufacturability (DFM).
• Support failure analysis and root cause investigations for test-related defects.
• Develop test guidelines and troubleshooting procedures for production teams.
• Train test technicians and production staff on proper test system operation and maintenance.
• Provide technical expertise to resolve test-related production issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Experience in test development, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic products.
• Proficiency in test automation, data acquisition, and electronic measurement tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers).
• Strong background in tester development, hardware modification, and test software programming (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, C#, C++).
• Knowledge of DFT (Design for Testability), PCB layout principles, and circuit debugging.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Good in Oral and Written Communication.
• Meticulous, well-organized and able to work in a team environment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

• Self-motivated with attitude, passion, and energy in abundance.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity.
