Job Title: Payroll Officer (Supervisory)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day payroll processing for employees—ensuring salaries, OT, bonuses, deductions, and adjustments are correct and on time.
- Oversee compliance with all government requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR), including timely remittances and reports.
- Review and validate payroll reports and payslips before release.
- Handle more complex payroll-related concerns and respond to employee questions or issues.
- Coordinate closely with Finance on employee movements, benefits, and timekeeping data.
- Assist in year-end processes such as BIR 2316 issuance and alpha list preparation.
- Support audit requirements related to payroll.
- Keep updated on any changes in tax regulations or labor laws that may affect payroll.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative Duties - maintaining organized files, trackers, calendars, schedules and answering queries and concerns
- Engagement- support the department in its employee engagement activities, and take lead roles in some events, such as townhall, teambuilding, year-end events, service awards.
- Recruitment - assist in screening candidates for job vacancies, ,and support in general recruitment efforts.
- Other tasks that may be necessary in the role or may contribute to the overall success of the department
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related course.
- At least 3–5 years of solid payroll experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of local labor laws, taxation, and government compliance.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and discreet with sensitive data.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working with numbers and tight deadlines.
Nice to Have:
- CPA or HR certification is a plus
- Familiarity with HRIS or timekeeping software.
