Job Overview
The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s tax compliance, tax planning, and tax reporting processes. This role requires extensive experience in taxation, particularly in dealing with regulatory bodies, as well as in-depth knowledge of local tax laws and regulations. The Tax Manager will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns, resolving tax issues, and minimizing tax risks while ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation, review, and submission of all tax returns and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with BIR regulations.
- Handle BIR audits, tax assessments, and inquiries, including coordinating with tax authorities and representing the company in meetings and discussions.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize tax efficiency.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the business, and provide guidance to the management team.
- Conduct regular tax risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate exposure.
- Prepare and review tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for financial reporting purposes.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in taxation, with a strong focus on handling BIR-related matters.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR regulations, and tax compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in tax planning, audits, and dispute resolution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience in dealing with tax authorities.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
