Equity Machineries traces its roots to 1949 through the efforts of Isabelo and Illuminada Tactay, who operated “The Cauayan Electric Corporation.” During Martial Law, the government took over private electric companies, prompting the Tactay family to shift to agriculture, where their experience with farm machinery laid the foundation for a new venture. This led to the establishment of Isabela Machineries, which was later renamed Equity Machineries Inc. on March 12, 1975, by Atty. Bagnos B. Tactay and his sister Ma. Carayo Tactay-Perez. The company specializes in selling agricultural machinery, equipment, and spare parts, and is known for its reliable after-sales service.
