Our partner, an Australia-based investment firm with a focus on growing both private and publicly listed portfolios, is looking for an
Accountant to join their team! They’re passionate about supporting entrepreneurs and adding value to their investments—turning bold ideas into thriving businesses. Among the brands they manage are a wellness personal care line and a premium skincare label.
As an
Accountant, you will handle accounts processing for two rapidly growing consumer brands that are expanding internationally. The role involves managing end-to-end accounts payable while working closely with the team and reporting to the Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment runs.
- Liaise with internal purchasing teams and handle new vendor onboarding.
- Monitor and manage the AP inbox, and resolve supplier queries.
- Perform supplier reconciliations and send remittances.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end processes.
- Assist with month-end reporting, including P&L and segment reports.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial reporting and insights.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across finance functions.
- Prepare GST filings for multiple jurisdictions.
- Process Australian payroll, including superannuation, tax, leave, and employee onboarding/offboarding.
Skills, Experience & Qualification
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or similar. CPA is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in similar Accounting roles for accounts payable and general accounting function
- General knowledge in payroll or Australian payroll is ideal
- Experience in FMCG is preferred
- Preferred experience with Xero but experience in similar accounting software will be ideal
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
