A Glimpse into Your New Role
As an
Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Control Team, you’ll gain exposure to various financial processes and have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role offers hands-on commercial experience, providing valuable support in daily cash management, month-end reconciliations, financial reporting, and operational matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Process daily cash transactions and assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare month-end reconciliations, including key expense accounts.
- Support regulatory reporting, including submissions to APRA and ATO.
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team in Manila on invoice and payment processing.
- Provide support for Accounts Receivable (as required).
- Assist with Financial Statement preparation, including notes and audit requests.
- Address ad hoc accounting and operational tasks as needed by the Financial Control Team.
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1–2 years of experience in audit or a similar commercial accounting role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Netsuite and Salesforce is a bonus.
- A solid grasp of key accounting concepts, coupled with a curious mindset.
- Progressing towards or recently started a post-graduate qualification in accounting or finance.
