Description

  • Oversee daily financial operations and reporting for property-related activities.
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for property expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with taxes and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and reconcile financial records for accuracy.
  • Monitor cash flow and allocate funds for operations.
  • Track property expenses and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Improve financial processes and enhance accounting systems.
  • Collaborate with key teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
  • Works closely with Treasurer Directors, Property Managers, and Operations Teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) with in-depth analysis.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends, and recommend cost-saving strategies.
  • Develop and review property budgets, conduct variance analysis, and support long-term planning.
  • Assess property profitability and provide insights for optimization.
  • Tax Compliance & Audit Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, real property taxes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare audit documentation, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain tax compliance.
  • Adhere to industry-specific financial and tax regulations for property management.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
  • Oversee property expenses and ensure proper payment documentation.
  • Ensure accurate recording of property-related financial transactions.
  • Manage cash flow by tracking revenue, expenses, and financial obligations for sustainability
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Report to the Property Manager and Board of Trustees.
  • Collaborate with the property manager and operations teams to support decision-making.


Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Licensed CPA is a plus but not required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in property accounting, property management, real estate finance, or a similar role.
  • Experience in residential building operations is a plus but not required.


Technical Skills:

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with VAT, real property taxes, and regulatory compliance.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
