Description

A.    General Accounting & Bookkeeping

·      Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.

·      Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and financial statements.

·      Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.

 

B.    Financial Reporting

·      Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

·      Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of expenses.

·      Provide management with financial analysis to support decision-making.

 

C.    Compliance & Taxation

·      Ensure compliance with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other regulatory requirements.

·      Prepare and file tax returns and other statutory obligations on time.

·      Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies when needed.

 

D.   Cash Flow & Treasury Management

·      Monitor daily cash position and support efficient fund management.

·      Manage disbursements, collections, and petty cash.

·      Provide projections on financial needs for operations.

 

E.    Internal Controls & Process Development

·      Implement accounting policies, systems, and procedures suitable for a start-up environment.

·      Establish basic internal controls to safeguard company assets.

·      Identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.


F.    Cross-Functional Support

·      Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Sales for payroll, procurement, and budget requests.

·      Provide financial insights for business planning and strategy.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.

Experience: At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience.

Skills:

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, ODOO or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation and regulatory compliance.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Adaptable and resourceful — comfortable with the dynamic nature of start-ups.
