Principal Duties and Responsibilities

As an Accounting Associate Manager/Manager at Apeiron, you are to manage and execute complex accounting tasks with precision and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and assisting with the preparation of tax returns and audits. You will be responsible for managing client accounts, providing accurate and timely financial information, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. 


The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills and attention to detail, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data. You will mentor senior and junior team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development. You will collaborate closely with other functions within the firm to deliver comprehensive and cohesive services to clients. Your ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of client service will be essential to your success in this role.


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for their accounting and financial needs.
  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the firm's services to clients, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of accounting, bookkeeping, tax compliance, payroll, and other services.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to meet client expectations and promptly resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Oversee and mentor senior associates, junior associates, liaison officers, and interns, as applicable, ensuring that their work aligns with quality standards and that deadlines are met.
  • Manage the firm's accounting and bookkeeping functions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Review payroll computations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, benefits, tax withholdings, and statutory contributions.
  • Oversee tax compliance activities, including but not limited to the preparation and filing of tax returns and reviewing necessary tax reconciliations. 
  • Stay abreast of accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements for the firm and clients, and providing necessary advice on any adjustments.
  • Other related responsibilities, ad-hoc projects and tasks related to the business needs.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years aggregate experience in audit and assurance, finance, and accounting
  • Extensive work experience in professional services, private capital markets, and technology or tech-enabled businesses would be a plus.
  • CMA and/or CPA certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to new software and tools.
  • Proactive and problem-solving attitude.
  • Analytical, data-driven mindset.
  • High interpersonal skills with problem-solving.
