The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s accounts payable processes to ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers, vendors, and service providers. This role is vital in maintaining strong financial control, supporting operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills and a keen understanding of the real estate and property management industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end accounts payable functions, including invoice processing, payment disbursement, expense reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable team; ensure accurate workload distribution and professional development.
  • Oversee timely and accurate processing of all payables, including vendor payments, contractor fees, utilities, and project-related disbursements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that improve accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of payable transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (e.g., VAT, EWT) and internal controls.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve disputes or discrepancies promptly.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Property Management, and Project teams to validate billing, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Monitor and analyze accounts payable aging reports and cash flow forecasts to manage payment schedules.
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
  • Continuously assess systems and processes to identify automation and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on payables, vendor metrics, and KPIs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in Accounts Payable.
  • Experience in the real estate, property development, or construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and tax regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
