The Junior Architect will support the design and documentation of waste management systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. This entry-level position involves preparing architectural waste room layouts, schematic reports, presentation materials, and technical drawings in both CAD and BIM environments. The ideal candidate is technically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a niche but high-impact area of architecture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design & Drafting
- Assist in preparing architectural layouts of waste rooms, bin holding areas, chute systems, and transfer paths for residential and commercial developments
- Create 2D and 3D drawings in AutoCAD and Revit, including plans, sections, and elevations related to waste infrastructure
- Support the development of standard blocks, families, and drawing templates related to waste equipment
2. Reports & Documentation
- Assist in compiling architectural waste management reports and feasibility studies
- Support the senior team in preparing technical submissions for local authority approvals (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Estidama, etc.)
- Format and export presentation files into clean, professional PPD or PDF formats
3. Presentation & Communication
- Prepare well-structured presentation decks to communicate waste strategies to internal teams or clients
- Help create diagrams, workflows, and visual explanations of system operation for non-technical audiences
4. Project Support & Coordination
- Collaborate with senior consultants and engineers to ensure waste layouts are functional, code-compliant, and integrated with overall building design
- Attend internal design reviews and take notes to support ongoing project coordination
5. Research & Compliance
- Stay updated on local waste management codes, regulations, and international best practices
- Assist in researching manufacturer data, equipment specifications, and case studies for report input

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
