Job Description

The Area/Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational performance, commercial growth, and customer experience of all retail stores within the assigned region. This role ensures smooth store operations, operational compliance, high-quality merchandising, and service excellence, particularly crucial for the sale and handling of premium, high-value furniture and home appliances.


The Area/Regional Operations Manager drives sales performance, operational efficiencies, and team capability while maintaining brand standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

1. Regional Store Operations & Performance

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all stores within the region, ensuring consistent execution of operational standards.
  • Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and profitability; implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure operational compliance, inventory accuracy, and brand consistency.
  • Manage store opening, renovation, and layout changes in collaboration with merchandising and project teams.


2. Sales & Commercial Management

  • Drive sales and ensure all branches within the assigned territory meet or exceed their financial targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Monitor product performance, stock availability, and pricing to optimize sales of high-value products.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on regional promotions, campaigns, and product launches.
  • Identify market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to drive commercial opportunities.


3. Customer Experience & Service Excellence

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all stores, with special focus on delivery, installation, and after-sales support for high-value products.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and service failures promptly.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the customer journey, from in-store consultation to delivery and product setup.


4. Inventory, Supply Chain & Loss Prevention

  • Oversee inventory management processes including receiving, storage, damage control, and stock replenishment.
  • Ensure proper handling, display, and warehousing of premium and fragile furniture/appliance items.
  • Work with supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate stock flow to stores.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies and ensure compliance with company security protocols.


5. People Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Store Managers and operational teams across the region.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skills development programs.
  • Create a culture of accountability, high performance, and customer-centric behavior.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and oversee recruitment in collaboration with HR.


6. Compliance, Health & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, legal requirements, and safety standards.
  • Oversee safe handling and installation practices for bulky, heavy, or delicate products.
  • Conduct risk assessments and take corrective actions where necessary.


Key Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field.
  • MBA or related postgraduate qualification (advantageous).


Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in retail operations management, preferably in automobile, motorcycle, furniture and appliances, or other high-value product categories.
  • Proven success managing multi-store operations in a regional capacity.
  • Experience in inventory control, supply chain coordination, and customer service management.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret sales and operational metrics.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with ERP, POS systems, and retail reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of installation, delivery, and logistics processes for large and high-value items.

Working Conditions

  • Frequent travel across the region.
  • Occasional extended hours during peak periods, store openings, or special events.


Region Assignment

  • This role will be handling Region 1, covering the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.
