Job Description
- Providing knowledgeable recommendations on wine selections to customers based on their preferences and menu items
- Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of the wine list, including details on grape varieties, regions, vintages and flavour profiles
- Assisting with the procurement, storage and rotation of wine inventory to ensure optimal quality and availability
- Collaborating with the culinary team to suggest wine pairings that complement the menu
- Delivering attentive and personalized customer service to enhance the overall dining experience
- Participating in wine tastings, staff training and other educational initiatives to continually develop your expertise
- Adhering to all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
- Proven experience as a Wine Specialist or Wine Waiter in a high-end restaurant, hotel or catering environment
- Extensive knowledge of wine varietals, regions, producers and trends from around the world
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to educate and engage guests
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain inventory and wine lists
- A passion for wine and a commitment to continuing professional development
- Open for any gender
