  • The Budget Coordinator will have a critical role in the budget controllership and analysis which will support program Implementers in terms of variance analysis, managing funding gaps and strategic allocation of funds.
  • The post holder will work closely with the Finance Manager for Strategic Financial Management in the top-level analysis of the master budget and spending gaps to be able to come up with an effective budgeting structure and process.
  • Must have completed a degree in accounting; having a CPA is an advantage.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of work experience in the finance department, 3 years of which should be with an international organization or nonprofit/voluntary sector. International experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of grants management, donor compliance, and financial systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (knowledge of AGRESSO is highly preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and propose solutions to complex challenges.
  • Experience managing financial aspects of projects, including budget planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking abilities, and attention to detail, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support team members and collaborate effectively across teamAdaptable and flexible, with a high level of work ethics and the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the organization’s operations is an advantage.
  • Understanding of Save the Children’s vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives; willing to adopt Save the Children methodology and framework in program implementation; abide by and implement Save the Children’s Eight Agency Policies including Child Safety
