The Trade Development Specialist is responsible for expanding product distribution, increasing market presence, and strengthening business relationships within assigned territories. She/He engages with wholesalers, retailers, distributors, and trade partners to develop sales opportunities and ensure consistent product visibility and availability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand the product’s market reach within assigned areas.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retail accounts.
  • Conduct route selling, trade visits, and daily market calls to ensure product availability.
  • Execute merchandising standards and ensure products are properly displayed.
  • Implement trade marketing campaigns, promotions, and sampling activities.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and trade performance.
  • Collect and analyze market and sales data to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Prepare regular sales, route, and trade performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, trade agreements, and pricing guidelines.


Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course (Preferably Business, Marketing, or related field).
  • Experience in FMCG, field sales, merchandising, or trade development is an advantage.
  • With a valid driver’s license
  • Owns a motorcycle and willing to travel extensively.
  • Knowledgeable in route planning, sales reporting, and market execution.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good customer relationship and networking ability.
  • Sales-driven, proactive, and highly motivated.
  • Familiar with market mapping and route management.
  • Ability to work independently in the field.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, or sales reporting tools).
