Job Summary:

JT's Manukan Grill Restaurant is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service, processing transactions, and ensuring a smooth, efficient checkout experience. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while maintaining accuracy in handling cash, credit card transactions, and receipts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders or inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Process customer payments accurately, including cash, credit/debit card transactions, and digital payments.
  • Handle cash register and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including restocking supplies, organizing receipts, and ensuring equipment is functioning properly.
  • Answer customer questions about menu items, specials, and promotions.
  • Assist in managing customer flow during peak hours to ensure efficient service.
  • Monitor and ensure the accuracy of orders before completing transactions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and a high standard of customer service.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns in a courteous, professional manner and escalate when necessary.
  • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Maintain adherence to all company policies, including those related to food safety, cash handling, and customer service.


Qualifications:

  • Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to maintain a positive attitude, even during busy or challenging situations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills (experience with POS systems is a plus).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
