Description

A Company Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods, materials, or personnel using company vehicles. They ensure timely delivery, maintain the vehicle, and adhere to traffic laws and company policies. This includes tasks like planning routes, loading and unloading cargo, and performing basic vehicle maintenance. 

Requirements

Valid Driver's License:

  • A current and valid driver's license is essential for operating a company vehicle. 


Clean Driving Record:

  • Employers typically require a clean driving record, indicating a history of responsible and safe driving practices. 


Driving Skills:

  • Excellent driving skills, including the ability to operate a vehicle safely and navigate various routes, are crucial. 


Knowledge of Traffic Laws:

  • A thorough understanding of traffic laws and regulations is necessary to ensure safe and legal operation of the vehicle. 


Communication Skills:

  • Effective communication skills are needed to interact with dispatchers, colleagues, and potentially customers. 


Time Management:

  • Company drivers often have to manage their time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines. 


Physical Stamina:

  • Depending on the role, some drivers may need to load and unload cargo, requiring physical stamina and strength. 


High School Diploma:
