The Company Nurse is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of employees by providing medical assistance, administering first aid, conducting health assessments, and implementing workplace health programs. This role ensures compliance with occupational health and safety regulations while supporting HR in managing employee wellness initiatives.


Health and Medical Care

  • Provide first aid treatment and medical assistance to employees in case of illness or injury.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor employee health conditions.
  • Assist employees in obtaining medical attention when necessary and coordinate with healthcare providers.

Health Monitoring and Assessments

  • Conduct regular health check-ups and medical assessments.
  • Monitor and maintain employee medical records and health-related documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-employment, annual, and return-to-work medical examinations.

Workplace Health and Safety

  • Support Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Conduct health and safety training, including emergency preparedness and hygiene programs.
  • Assist in identifying workplace hazards and recommending preventive measures.

Wellness Programs and Employee Engagement

  • Develop and implement health promotion activities, such as vaccination drives and wellness campaigns.
  • Provide counseling and health education to employees on lifestyle, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Administrative and Compliance Tasks

  • Maintain accurate and updated medical records and reports for compliance with company and government regulations.
  • Process medical certificates, accident reports, and other health-related documentation.
  • Coordinate with HR regarding employees’ medical leaves and fit-to-work status.
