The cost engineer’s purpose is to arrive at accurate cost estimates and to avoid cost overruns and schedule slips. Cost engineering goes beyond preparing cost estimates and schedules by helping manage resources and supporting assessment and decision-making.

• Focus on using technical knowledge to forecast expenses for all phases of the project accurately. 
• Create a budget that includes time, materials, labor costs, and method.
• Collect and analyze data and information in order to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product
• Works proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with others.
• Provide efficient and competitive cost estimates for fabrication projects
• Manage and monitor cost of assigned projects
• Validate and approve primary BOM with respect to the approved cost estimate
• Post audit for each completed projects vs cost estimate
• Coordinates with purchasing on material/job out sourcing
• Negotiate through purchasing to secure competitive raw material cost based on volume
• Other task/duties that may be assigned from time to time

• Bachelor’s Degree 
• Computer literate
• With knowledge in excel, word)
• Strong mathematical background, critical thinking, good judgment and decision making, problem solving, reading comprehension, time management
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cost accounting
