Senior Data Engineer (L3 Support - Expert Level)

Job Description:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will architect, build, and optimize complex data infrastructure to support business intelligence and advanced analytics. You will handle Level 3 (L3) escalations, work on strategic initiatives, and drive best practices across the data engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement highly scalable data pipelines and warehouse solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve L3 tickets, including deep technical issues related to distributed computing, cloud infrastructure, and data processing bottlenecks.
• Lead data engineering projects from design to deployment, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Optimize big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, or Snowflake.
• Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to enable AI/ML use cases.
• Establish data governance standards and best practices for security, compliance, and performance.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, conducting code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5-10+ years of experience in data engineering, big data, or cloud infrastructure.
• Solid ETL and SQL skills and experience
• Expertise in distributed data processing frameworks like Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud data ecosystems (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing.
• Experience in architecting data lake and data warehouse solutions.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
