DELIVERY DRIVER

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of baked goods, food products, and supplies to various customer locations, branches, or partner establishments. The role also includes basic vehicle maintenance checks, proper documentation, and coordination with the warehouse and sales teams to ensure excellent customer service and product integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery Operations

1. Safely transports bakery and restaurant products to designated branches and work areas following assigned delivery schedules.
2.  Ensures accuracy of items loaded and delivered based on delivery receipts, invoices, or dispatch sheets.
3.  Handles products with care to prevent damage or spoilage during transit.
4. Obtains customer signatures and ensure proper documentation of completed deliveries.

Vehicle Maintenance

1. Conducts daily vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness (brakes, lights, tires, fluids, etc.).
2. Reports any mechanical issues immediately to the supervisor or maintenance team.
3.  Ensures the vehicle is clean, properly fueled, and maintained according to company standards.
4. Follows all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company driving policies.

Coordination & Communication

1. Communicates effectively with warehouse staff, sales coordinators, and customers regarding delivery times and potential delays.
2.  Coordinates with the logistics team for route planning and delivery efficiency.
3. Notifies appropriate personnel of any delivery concerns such as incomplete orders, damaged goods, or customer feedback

Other Duties:

1. Observes proper safety and food handling procedures at all times.
2. Assists in loading and unloading of goods as needed.
3. Performs other related tasks that the supervisor may assign to support overall warehouse efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. With a valid professional driver’s license (Restrictions 1, 2, 3 or equivalent).
3. Atleast 1–2 years of experience in delivery driving, preferably in the food or bakery industry.
4. Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations.
5. Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading goods when necessary.
6. Responsible, punctual, and customer service-oriented.
7. Willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, or holidays
