Description

  • As a Site Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical engineering activities on-site. This includes ensuring the successful implementation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems. You will work closely with project managers and other site personnel to ensure projects are executed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

Project Implementation:

  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems on-site.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with design specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Coordinate with the internal project team to ensure timely project completion.

Site Management:

  • Supervise and inspect electrical work to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Resolve any on-site issues or technical problems related to electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control.

Testing & Commissioning:

  • Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify any issues identified during testing.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all test results and commissioning activities.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all electrical installations meet regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols for electrical works on-site.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of all electrical works, inspections, and tests.
  • Prepare progress reports and updates for project stakeholders.
  • Document any design changes or modifications made on-site.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in site electrical engineering or a related role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (e.g., PEC, IEEE).
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
