Below are some, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities of an Electrical Technician:

1. Conducts set up and operation of test equipment for evaluation of performance, assembly,

or system, under simulated operating conditions

2. Records results of the conducted equipment testing

3. Provides technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are

encountered before, during and/or after construction

4. Repairs and replaces defective components in motors, generators, controllers, storage

batteries, switchboards, conductors, switches and various electrical fixtures

5. Dismantles motors and generators

6. Handles maintenance, troubleshooting or repair of electrical instrument and/or testing

equipment

7. Conducts inspections and testing on machineries and equipment

8. Analyses and interprets test results on machineries and equipment

9. Creates reports on findings and recommendations based on the analysis and

interpretation of test results

10. Creates service report for submission to supervisor

11. Assist in promoting company’s services to prospects and potential clients

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or

ability required.

1. Graduate of any 4-year or vocational course related to the field

2. Has acquired certification/license from PRC and/or TESDA related to the field

3. Knowledgeable on the use of computer and computer applications such as MS Office,

etc.

4. Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills

5. Experience related to the field is not necessary, but an advantage

6. Organized and Systematic

7. Can work with minimal or no supervision from supervisor

8. Flexible and willing to work beyond working hours

9. Critical thinker and has excellent decision-making skills
