Platform leadership, SaaS acceleration, and Ecosystem scaling represent the three primary growth levers in SimCorp's 2025 strategy, while the Platforms as a Service Operations department enhances client services by providing a dependable, anticipated, and cost-efficient operations service. As a platform and technology operations team, we also aspire to streamline standard processes to assist in the growth and efficiency of SimCorp’s SaaS business. The advancement of client services is driven by our team members, who are essential for operational success. Managers are leading the teams of people in close collaboration with Product Owners and the rest of the PaaS leadership team. This position resides with Onboarding delivery engine, where the onboarding of new clients is being planned and executed.

What You Will Be Responsible For

You will be a part of leadership team where you collaboratively lead together with other Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and PaaS Senior Leadership

  • You are a manager of 1-2 teams of Site Reliability Engineers within SaaS Operations, with responsibility of hiring, growing, and upskilling your team through 1:1s, feedback, mentoring, coaching, and goal setting.
  • You are tasked with creating a positive working atmosphere for your team
  • Collaborate with other engineering leaders and operational delivery team, product owners and scrum masters to drive cross-area initiatives to ensure operational excellence of your teams
  • Develop and carry out learning and education paths for our people
  • You are responsible for maintaining team engagement through evaluation of findings and outcomes in our employee surveys, implementing actions and measuring results
  • Responsible for managing the People and Culture processes related to people management, such as Real Talks, Workday processes, performance & merit evaluations etc
  • You are responsible for monitoring team utilization and working closely with Product Owners to ensure sufficient capacity for upcoming deliveries
  • You are responsible for engineering expertise within your area of responsibility – with support from PaaS stakeholders
  • You identify and articulate key metrics to gain a clear perspective on your team's performance and to drive enhancement
  • Responsible for effective adoption of operational processes across teams
  • Work closely with the Scrum Master to mature the team's adoption of Agile Scrum and DevOps methodologies to promote a well-functioning, efficient team
  • Responsible for SRE team input to, and participation in, security and compliance processes such as annual SOC2 auditing, Business Continuity testing and Disaster Recovery drills, and ensuring team adherence to compliance surrounding these processes.
  • Responsible for driving your teams contribution to knowledge sharing initiatives within PaaS and across Client Services
  • Partner with product teams to onboard new application services efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on priorities
  • Act as an advocate for operational priorities in strategic planning discussions

  • Previous experience working in an agile team and an understanding of agile methodologies
  • The ability to work in, and manage, global virtual teams
  • Have extensive multi cultural awareness and appreciation for multi cultural teams
  • Have good written and verbal reasoning skills

Other requirements:

  • APAC shift hours
  • Hybrid working arrangement (2x a week)
