Description

To carry out the core values of the organization in performing accounting functions primarily focused on compliance in financial and tax reporting standards. Included in his area of responsibility is to evaluate accounting processes and adherence to audit compliances.


  • Performs monitoring, analyses, and preparation of department’s actual vs budget statement of financial performance to assess its future endeavors and reports how effective and efficient the department’s team in discharging their responsibilities to use existing resources.
  • Assist in preparation of financial budget and closely monitor its execution by providing budget variance analyses.
  • Enable departments in controlling their financial expenditures and strengthen support in other saving and revenue driver activities.
  • Review schedules/reports of balance sheet reconciliation and tax/compliance related to Accounts Payable function.
  • Review monthly reconciliation and analyses of all DDCP bank accounts to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the cash balances shown by the bank statements and book balance.
  • Review intercompany reconciliation of ledger accounts.
  • Review accounts payable vouchers and various journal entries such as, but not limited to: accruals of expenses, reversal of accruals, amortization of prepayments, monthly revaluation of foreign exchange related payable accounts, and other adjustments through the accounting system in accordance with guidelines in recording payable transactions.
  • Ensure strict compliance of employees and suppliers to Company policies and BIR regulations related to payables.
  • Assist in processing tax compliances and certification requirements such as, but not limited to: books of accounts and tax exemptions.
  • Assist in BIR audit engagements from start to finish (planning and completing tax and audit projects).
  • Facilitate uploading, booking, and review of reconciliation for Payroll entries together with BIR filings such as, but not limited to: 1601C withholding tax on compensation, alpha list, and 2316.
  • Adhere, monitor, and report status of Accounts Payable in compliance for Internal and External Audit findings.
  • Participate in company meetings, activities, seminars, and other development activities.
  • Promote and support corporate citizenship, safety, security, and environmental awareness, and other quality programs of the company.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned by superior.


Requirements

  • With at least two (2) to five years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably in Accounts Payable or General Accounting

Certification/Licenses

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or any finance-related certification is an advantage

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Netsuite, Oracle, SAP)
  • Strong MS Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)

Other Qualifications

  • Experience in reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and tax/compliance reports related to Accounts Payable
  • Strong background in reviewing accounts payable vouchers and journal entries (e.g., accruals, reversals, prepayment amortization, foreign exchange revaluation, and other adjustments) in line with accounting guidelines
  • Knowledgeable in ensuring compliance with company policies and BIR regulations related to payables
  • Familiarity with monitoring, reporting, and ensuring adherence to audit requirements (internal and external)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and adapt to challenging and dynamic work environment
