Description

  • Prepares business plans for the functional unit; ensures that these are aligned with
  • department’s overall plans and Cooperative’s purpose and values
  • Reviews and endorses the annual budget for the division
  • Enforces the Cooperative’s Human Resources (HR) guidelines and initiates appropriate constructive/corrective actions on reported violations by direct reports
  • Ensures that all financial transactions in the book of accounts are recorded in an accurate and timely manner
  • Monitors and validate financial transactions such as fund requisitions, liquidations,
  • disbursements and receipt of payment, ensuring that these are in accordance with the Coop’s policies and procedures
  • Reconciles subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivables, cash receipts, and ensures that these correspond with prescribed policies, standards, budget guidelines and similar parameters, before approvals by authorized signatories
  • Oversees the accurate and timely billing generation and transmittal to clients
  • Ensures timely collection and closely monitor delinquent accounts
  • Evaluates, develops and implements cash management systems to optimize efficiencies
  • Ensures that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
  • Maintains and enhances relationships with financial service providers
  • Prepares periodic financial statements
  • Reviews taxes levied, oversee the preparation of tax returns, and ensure compliance with payments and submission of requirements
  • Ensures that all accounting and financial records are properly maintained, regularly updated and secured
  • Monitors job performance of staff to ensure that high quality work and efficiency in department operations are maintained at all times.


Requirements

  • Must have a degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role handling accounting and/or treasury functions.
  • Must be amenable to working in Ortigas, Pasig City (Hybrid Set-up)
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and treasury operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop policies and procedures for financial controls.
