Summary Responsibilities:


Responsible for the management of funds with the goal of maximizing returns and minimizing risks by preparing the financial statement and analysis, recommending necessary actions, implementing controls, and managing accounting office operations. 


Financial management

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Forecast cash flow
  • Ensure that the available funds support operational and capital requirements through proper cash and funds handling
  • Manage collections and disbursements
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and partner banks
  • Manage excess funds
  • Manage the preparation of financial budget
  • Report to the General Manager variances from established budget and the reasons for those variances
  • Assist the General Manager in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
  • Benchmark with performance of competitors


Financial Statement preparation and analysis

  • Prepare complete, timely, and accurate financial reports including schedules
  • Conduct regular and timely analysis of financial information
  • Communicate results of analysis to the General Manger and to each department as necessary and recommends improvement activities
  • Comply key business metrics and completes set of financial reports


Leadership and personnel management

  • Ensure that accounting staff adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Conduct performance evaluation as scheduled
  • Provide assistance and coaching to employees when needed
  • Ensure that staff understands and embraces the company core values


Other Duties

  • Attend to ManCom meetings as scheduled
  • Attend trainings and seminars
  • Recruit, select, motivate and develop accounting employees to work following the operational, financial, administrative philosophies ensuring employees are multi skilled and perform multi tasks.
  • Support the training initiatives and philosophies of the company and works closely with the Training Manager/HR
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned
