Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Analyst with at least 1 year of relevant experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the insurance brokerage by analyzing financial data, ensuring accurate and timely processing of collections and payments, and contributing to overall operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

Collections and Accounts Receivable:

  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely collections.
  • Prepare aging reports and escalate overdue accounts as necessary.

Payments and Accounts Payable:

  • Assist in processing payments and employee reimbursements.
  • Verify payment requests for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze transactions and prepare journal entries including adjusting and month-end closing entries.

 Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, including cash flow statements and operational dashboards.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Prepares reports and submissions related to tax compliance and regulatory requirements 
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and prepare documentation for audits.
  • Acts as asset custodian

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other teams to resolve finance-related issues.
  • Support finance projects and system upgrades as needed.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in collections or payments processing.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
