Job Summary

The House Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing interior and exterior surfaces of residential and commercial properties. The role ensures high-quality workmanship, safe practices, and efficient use of materials to achieve client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching holes, and applying primers or sealants.
• Mix, match, and apply paints, varnishes, lacquers, or other finishes according to specifications.
• Protect furniture, floors, and fixtures using drop cloths, masking tape, and protective coverings.
• Operate and maintain painting tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding.
• Apply coats of paint, ensuring uniformity and adherence to required thickness and finish.
• Perform touch-ups and retouching of defective areas for a smooth, professional finish.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of paints, thinners, and other chemicals.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).
• Assist in estimating paint and material requirements for each project.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.

Qualifications

• At least High School Graduate (Vocational or TESDA NC II in Painting Works preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in residential or commercial painting.
• Knowledge of paint types, surface preparation techniques, and application methods.
• Ability to operate painting tools, ladders, and scaffolding safely.
• Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
• Willing to work on flexible schedules, including weekends or holidays if required by project timelines.

Work Location & Schedule

• Assigned project site or client residence.
• Mondays to Saturdays (or project-based schedules, in line with the Philippine Labor Code working hours).
