Description

The HR Officer will perform a wide range of generalist HR functions, with a strong focus on government statutory compliance, timekeeping and payroll support, and employee discipline. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage core HR processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Government Mandatories & Remittances

  • Ensure accurate and timely remittance of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR contributions.
  • Process employee enrollments, updates, and loan applications with government agencies.
  • Monitor and reconcile monthly government reports and address discrepancies.

2. Timekeeping & Payroll Support

  • Manage employee attendance, leave, and overtime records.
  • Consolidate and validate timekeeping data for payroll processing.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payslips, deductions, and other payroll concerns.
  • Hands-on experience with SPROUT for HR and payroll functions.

3. Employee Discipline & Documentation

  • Draft and issue incident reports, NTEs, and disciplinary action notices.
  • Assist in implementing disciplinary procedures in coordination with line managers.
  • Maintain confidential records of infractions, investigations, and outcomes.

4. Onboarding

  • Facilitate pre-employment requirements including bank account enrollment, TIN application, and New Hire Orientation (NHO).
  • Coordinate employee registration for office access systems and biometrics.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and orientation of new hires in coordination with key departments.

5. Offboarding

  • Manage employee exit processes including clearance routing and coordination.
  • Prepare documentation and fund request for final pay.
  • Facilitate release of Final Pay and Certificate of Employment (COE) upon completion of requirements.
  • Conduct or assist in exit interviews and reporting.

6. General HR Administration

  • Maintain and update employee 201 files and HRIS data.
  • Support HR-led initiatives, activities, and compliance requirements.
  • Handle other HR functions and administrative duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, or a related course.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a structured or fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory benefits compliance (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
  • Experience in timekeeping and payroll processing, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and SPROUT.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information.
