About the Role

Metacom Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Engineer to strengthen security measures, ensure compliance, and lead vulnerability management efforts. This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a strong background in IT security, risk management, and compliance who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Vulnerability & Compliance Management

• Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with industry security standards and frameworks.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

Security Initiatives & Collaboration

• Lead and implement key information security initiatives.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance cybersecurity measures.
• Partner with IT, risk, and compliance teams to drive security improvements.

Security Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor emerging security threats and trends.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.
• Escalate security risks and compliance issues as needed.

Security Awareness & Training

• Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs.
• Educate employees on security best practices and risk mitigation.

Incident Response & Risk Mitigation

• Assist in managing security incidents and threats.
• Ensure timely and effective incident response aligned with company policies.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience in Information Security, IT Risk Management, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, security frameworks, and compliance.
• Proficiency in data analytics, MS Excel, and Office productivity tools.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent.
• Experience in SOC, incident response, or threat intelligence.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms and security tools.
• Knowledge of IT governance and regulatory compliance.
