As a Junior Underwriter at Pacific Cross, you’ll use your medical background to help people get the health coverage they need while learning the ropes of the insurance industry.

What You’ll Do

• Review applications and assess risks (up to Level 2).
• Prepare proposals, renewals, and quotations for group accounts.
• Work with Sales and Claims teams to make sure clients get accurate and fair coverage.
• Sign off policies within your authority limit and escalate complex cases to senior underwriters.
• Keep records updated and ensure quick turnaround times.

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of a medical or allied medical course (Nursing, Med Tech, Pharmacy, Biology, etc.).
• Extra points if you have 1 year of experience in insurance (HMO, life, or non-life) or some knowledge of product pricing.
• Bonus if you’re familiar with insurance or actuarial concepts — but if not, we’ll train you!
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work well with different teams.
• Good communicator, organized, and eager to learn.
