Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Architect to support the development of multi-family housing and public building projects. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in architectural design, exceptional technical proficiency, and a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality construction documents. This role requires a motivated professional who can operate effectively in a remote environment while collaborating closely with our project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive architectural drawings, construction documents, and specifications for multi-family housing, schools, and hospitals.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and consultants to ensure compliance with client requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
- Prepare accurate and detailed production work, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, using AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard software.
- Perform quality control reviews to maintain accuracy and consistency with project goals and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction challenges.
- Participate in virtual meetings to provide project updates on progress, timelines, and deliverables.
- Remain informed on emerging industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to multi-family and public building design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 5–7 years of professional experience in architectural design and construction documentation, with an emphasis on multi-family housing, schools, or hospitals.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other architectural software applications.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standards (including ADA).
- Proven track record of producing detailed construction documents and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines remotely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual environment.
- Architectural licensure or active pursuit of licensure is preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and project management platforms.
