Team Supervision & Leadership:

  • Supervise and lead a team of logistics personnel, providing direction and guidance.
  • Assign daily tasks and responsibilities, ensuring team productivity and performance standards are met.
  • Train and develop logistics staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle operational tasks
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to improve efficiency and resolve issues.

Logistics Operations Management:

  • Coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring on-time delivery and proper documentation.
  • Oversee the scheduling of transportation, ensuring proper routing and efficient use of resources.
  • Manage inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor shipments and resolve any delays or issues in transits

Process Optimization & Cost Control:

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality service.
  • Analyze logistics performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices in logistics and supply chain management.

Vendor & Supplier Coordination:

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, carriers, and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with service providers to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
  • Ensure vendors meet delivery schedules and quality standards.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and international laws, regulations, and company policies related to logistics and transportation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics records, including shipment tracking, inventory reports, and transportation documentation.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports for senior management and other departments.

Customer Service & Problem Resolution:

  • Act as a point of contact for any logistics-related issues or concerns from internal teams, customers, or external partners.
  • Investigate and resolve any delivery issues, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.

Safety & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to the handling, storage, and transportation of goods.
  • Identify potential risks in the logistics process and implement strategies to mitigate them.
