Description
- Conduct quality audits of medical coding to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review coding assignments for completeness and adherence to standards.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with coding staff to provide feedback and training.
- Generate reports on coding quality metrics and trends.
- Stay updated on coding guidelines and regulations.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related field.
- Experience Level: 3-5 years of experience in quality analysis and medical coding.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficient in ED and EM coding, medical terminology, and EHR/EMR systems.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Conduct clinical validation, ensure regulatory compliance, and analyze coding accuracy.
- Working Conditions: Primarily office-based, requiring strong focus and attention to detail.
- Qualities and Traits: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and capability to work independently.
