We are looking for a highly organized and results-driven Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate all cargo handling operations. The role involves pre-arrival planning, vessel operation supervision, equipment readiness, manpower deployment, and post-operation reporting. The ideal candidate ensures safe, efficient, and complaint vessel operations while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders and regulatory authorities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Operations Management or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in cargo handling or port operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of vessel operations, cargo documentation, and port safety procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Preferably SAP).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting schedules and priorities.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as operations require.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and manage operations staff, including on-call personnel.
  2. Monitor performance, address issues and provide coaching or corrective actions as needed.
  3. Participate in staff evaluations, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
  4. Attend and contribute to regular departmental meetings.
  5. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of vessel and cargo handling operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance at all times.
  6. Planning and supervising vessel activities, coordinating manpower and equipment, managing documentation and reporting, and leading operational teams.
  7. Monitoring performance, maintaining accurate records, supporting administrative functions, and enforcing company and regulatory standards to achieve smooth, timely, and complaint operations.
