We are seeking a versatile Product Designer with Business Analyst expertise to bridge the gap between design and development. In this hybrid role, you'll transform client concepts into intuitive designs while ensuring they align with technical requirements. Your contributions will be pivotal in documenting requirements, developing specifications for our Agile development teams, and ensuring seamless implementation. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in quality assurance, ensuring our solutions meet and exceed client expectations.

The primary focus of our team are online retirement planning and insurance needs calculators helping individuals and their financial advisers plan for comfortable retirement. We also design and develop a wide range of related products and solutions.

The Role

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

  • Participate in gathering business and functional requirements
  • Collaborate with technical (actuarial) team to define tool specifications


Product Design & Development:

  • Create detailed UI/UX designs and workflows
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure alignment with client needs
  • Develop and implement cohesive design systems
  • Revise designs based on stakeholder feedback
  • Produce wireframes and functional prototypes as required
  • Plan and coordinate user testing sessions, documenting outcomes and recommending improvements
  • Maintain a library of reusable design components and specifications


Product Specifications and Development Support:

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Managers, BAs, and designers to ensure development tasks meet client requirements
  • Maintain documentation around product specifications
  • Write and groom tasks for development, incorporating feedback from design, actuarial, development, QA, and project management teams
  • Support the development team in implementing designs
  • Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution and approvals


Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:

  • Review wireframes and designs for consistency and accuracy.
  • Streamline the graphic design function by leveraging reusable components.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure high-quality design implementation.
  • Conduct functional testing and provide QA sign-off
  • Promote team collaboration by assisting in solution development, identifying risks, and resolving issues
  • Support the development of a design Community of Practice to promote design-thinking frameworks and achieve target customer outcomes


Marketing Support:

  • Assist in creating marketing materials and executing campaigns
