GEMECO is a packaging company engaged in the manufacture of tin cans for infant dietetics, beverages, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other food products.

GEMECO’s customers include Angel Milk, Alaska Milk, 555 Sardines, Argentina Corned Beef, Century Tuna, Ligo Sardines, Purefoods Hormel - San Miguel, Swift, Virginia Foods, and Youngstown.

SAFETY OFFICER

The position will be in-charge in monitoring the following areas of concern

  • Monitoring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Investigating incidents and preparing reports
  • Submitting monthly reports to DOLE and other agencies
  • Developing safety programs, emergency response plans, and health protocols
  • Training employees on safety procedures and proper use of PPE


Requirements:

  • Graduate of 4-year course, preferably Engineering or Nursing
  • Completed DOLE-accredited training for SO3 or SO4
  • Highly knowledgeable of the Philippine safety laws, regulations and requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively and train employees on safety practices
