We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Operations & Production Control Specialist to join our IT infrastructure team. The role involves overseeing mainframe console operations, production batch scheduling, and system monitoring to ensure high availability, performance, and compliance.

You will be responsible for maintaining operational stability, executing batch jobs, handling IPL activities, and coordinating with vendors for incident resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 24x7 console monitoring for mainframe infrastructure and applications (hardware, batch schedules, interfaces, and databases).
• Execute, monitor, and manage production, test, and demand batch jobs (scheduling, reruns, cancellations, and reporting).
• Monitor job processing and escalate incomplete or delayed jobs.
• Perform system startup, shutdown (IPL), and configuration changes per schedule or SOP.
• Manage RACF for user ID and access administration.
• Coordinate with vendors (IBM, OEM/ISV) for incident resolution and preventive actions.
• Handle mainframe file transfers, output printing, and report management.
• Perform code promotion and release management.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls and SLAs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Mainframe Console Operations, Production Control, Batch Monitoring, and Scheduling.
• Strong understanding of IBM Mainframe technologies: z/OS, DB2, CICS, IMS DB/DC, HMC, SE.
• Hands-on experience in Batch Scheduling tools (Control-M, CA7, Tivoli, or Autosys preferred).
• Proficient in RACF, IAM, and access management.
• Familiar with Mainframe Version Control and Release Management tools.
• Solid experience in IPL, system monitoring, and incident management.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Amenable to night shift and hybrid work setup (Taguig or Makati)
• Must not be a job hopper
