Description

  • Responsible for the fulfillment cycle of the deliveries, oversees the procurement activities for imported goods and materials and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.
  • This position handles the logistics of transporting goods into the country, serving as liaison between sellers and the customers and ensures that licenses and permits for importation are up-to-date and valid.

Requirements

  • Facilitate booking of shipments with forwarders and monitoring of the shipments
  • Control all stages of importation from preparation of purchase orders up to reviewing and processing invoices. Fill Rate (Leadtime and Volume)
  • Ensure that Purchase Orders to suppliers are issued and PO requirement, cargo readiness, payment and pick up
  • are coordinated.
  • Ensure necessary licenses and permits (regulatory requirements) are obtained relating to import as coordinatedwith QARD, Finance and GSD (accredited partners). Included is the application of required insurance incoordination with brokers.
  • Negotiates with international and/or local freight forwarders
  • Compute for the duties and taxes payable to the Bureau of Customs as well as segregates the importdocuments for themmaterials
  • Manage and develop relations with overseas suppliers and lead the sourcing and expansion of products and raw
  • Ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of the importation process
  • Requests all clearance documentation from suppliers and sends it to the shipping agents
  • Responsible for vetting subcontractors that best fit the company’s requirements in price and services
  • Drive lower product landed cost by breaking down shipping and freight charges, maximizing shipping schedule,
  • container space and logistics cost.
  • Rationalize regularly with suppliers regarding price movement and outlook
  • Negotiate on best buying price and credit terms
  • Expands knowledge about the products and materials for procurement including understanding the demand ofthe products to be purchased
