About the Role:

As a QA Engineer at Umbra, you will be the final line of defense in ensuring the performance, reliability, and overall quality of the transformative platforms we build. You will be embedded in a dynamic innovation team that works across industries—where no two projects are the same. Your mission is to run tests across all our systems and solutions, ensuring everything works exactly as intended, while also pushing for enhancements in testing strategies, coverage, and automation. Your attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and passion for problem-solving will directly impact how users experience the solutions we proudly craft.

Key Responsibilities:

● End-to-End Quality Assurance: Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of web and mobile solutions.

● Automated & Manual Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts while also executing thorough manual tests where needed to identify bugs and inconsistencies.

● Bug Tracking & Resolution: Identify, document, and manage software defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues promptly.

● User-Centric Validation: Ensure the final product meets user needs and client specifications through usability, regression, and acceptance testing.

● Cross-Platform & Browser Testing: Ensure consistent user experience across devices, platforms, and browsers.

● Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers, designers, and project managers, to integrate quality checkpoints into every step of the development lifecycle.

● Continuous Improvement: Advocate for QA best practices and contribute to process improvements to elevate the standard of Umbra’s deliverables.

Qualifications:

● Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in a tech-driven, agile environment.

● Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JIRA, TestRail).

● Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and plans.

● Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML/CSS and ReactJS is required.

● Exposure to server-side scripting in PHP is a strong plus.

● Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines is a bonus.

● Passion for proactive problem-solving and client success.

● Strong communication and collaboration skills with a team-first attitude.
