Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the bulk food sales team to achieve revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion. This role ensures strategic oversight of sales activities, customer relationships, pricing, and supply chain coordination while driving operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Executives to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide guidance and training on sales techniques, negotiation, and account management.
  • Monitor team performance, set goals, and implement strategies to improve productivity.


Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting wholesalers, distributors, and institutional clients.
  • Oversee key account management, including high-value deals and long-term contracts.
  • Drive growth in bulk food sales through relationship building, strategic pricing, and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with trade partners to expand distribution channels and market presence.


Supply Chain & Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate with Finance, Purchasing, Operations, and Distributors to ensure smooth order fulfillment and inventory management.
  • Monitor logistics, margins, and pricing strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and contract terms in all sales activities.


Data & Reporting

  • Utilize CRM, inventory management, and other digital tools to track sales trends, forecast revenue, and report performance.
  • Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and process improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
  • Minimum 6 years in B2B or bulk food sales, including 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience dealing with wholesalers, distributors, or institutional clients.
  • Familiarity with volume pricing, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills - Able to manage high-value deals.
  • Understands margins, pricing strategies, and logistics constraints.
  • Deep understanding of food distribution and supply chain.
  • A network in foodservice, hospitality, or industrial food buyers is a big plus.
  • Tech-savvy, with hands-on experience in CRM, inventory management, and digital communication tools.
  • Able to use data to track sales trends, forecast, and report.
