The Scaffolder is responsible for assembling, dismantling, and maintaining safe scaffolding structures used in construction, repair, and maintenance projects. The role ensures all scaffolds are erected according to safety standards and project specifications, providing a secure working platform for workers at different heights.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and dismantle scaffolding structures in compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
  • Inspect scaffolding before, during, and after use to ensure stability, safety, and structural integrity.
  • Load, unload, and organize scaffolding materials and equipment at the site.
  • Secure scaffolding to structures using clamps, braces, and other fittings.
  • Follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions from supervisors to meet project specifications.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of scaffolding materials and tools.
  • Report any hazards, damages, or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
  • Work closely with construction teams to ensure scaffolding is positioned safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and company safety policies.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the site supervisor or project manager


Qualifications:

  • At least High School graduate (preferably with a vocational or technical course related to construction)
  • With Scaffold Training Certificate from a recognized institution (e.g., CISRS, TESDA, or DOLE-accredited)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in scaffolding works or construction safety
  • Knowledge of scaffolding types, components, and erection/dismantling procedures
  • Familiar with local and international safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, TG20, BS EN 12811)
  • Ability to read and interpret scaffold drawings and load capacity charts
  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights
  • Strong attention to detail and hazard identification
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • With Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) certification (preferred)
