Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot: Use specialized knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify problems with equipment or systems. 
• Repair and maintain: Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs, replacing faulty parts and ensuring the equipment functions correctly. 
• Installation and setup: Install new products or equipment, ensuring they are set up correctly and customers know how to operate them. 
• Customer service: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, answer their questions, and provide technical guidance. 
• Documentation: Accurately complete service reports, maintenance logs, and other required paperwork. 

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED: This is the minimum educational requirement for most positions. 
• Associate's degree or technical certification: A degree or certification in a relevant field is often preferred and can increase job prospects. 
• Industry-specific certifications: Depending on the role, certifications like EPA technician certification or certifications in HVAC, automotive repair, or electrical systems may be required.
