Description

As a Tax Compliance Officer, you will be in-charge of the following responsibilities:


Taxes and Licenses Monitoring and Compliance

  • Prepares the required documents in securing the necessary business permits for newly opened and soon to open stores.
  • Monitor the status of licenses and permits that are currently in process.
  • Coordinate the status of permits and licenses to concerned personnel such as the IT, Operations, and TSD Departments.
  • Monitor and facilitate the renewal of all existing stores’ business permits such as sanitary permit, mayor’s permit, fire safety inspection certificates, sign board, zoning, barangay, and other technical permits.
  • Prepares payments for local taxes to local government units on a quarterly and annual basis, and after inspections of different government sectors.
  • Summarizes and prepares the BIR Returns and monitor payment for the following taxes:

a. Certificate of Registration

b. Withholding tax-Expanded

c. Withholding tax-Compensation (filing only)

d. Value Added Tax

e. Quarterly Fringe benefits Tax

f. Final Withholding Tax-

g. Filing of Annual Alpha list Compensation-Employees

h. Filing of Annual Alpha list-Expanded (list of Suppliers

i. Other taxes not mentioned above

  • E-filing of return on Quarterly/Annual Income Tax.
  • Prepares the summary of all tax payments and purchase manager’s check in payment for the said tax.
  • Encode related expenses for all tax payments.


Qualifications


To apply for the role, here are the requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years accounting experience in a food industry, preferably in a food industry and publicly listed company; and well-versed with various taxes & licenses related transactions.
  • Must have superior analytical skills and should have a strong sense of attention to detail earned from previous job assignment.
  • Must be flexible, team player, mature professional, can work with minimum supervision.
  • Good in communication skills both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Computerized Accounting System.
  • Can work overtime and during non-working days when required.
