Job Title: Training and Capacity Building Specialist (1)
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training and Capacity Building Specialist to design, develop, and deliver effective training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting training needs assessments, developing training materials, facilitating training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. Certification by the Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) is required, and experience with public transport operators/systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead training and capacity building and knowledge transfer efforts, focusing on developing relevant courses, learning aids, and manuals, including but not limited to instructor guides and staff guides
- Develop a Training Needs Assessment Report, identifying learning gaps and training needs for all relevant staff
- Plan training programs for relevant staff, including incorporating new trends and technologies for public transport and disseminating these to staff
- Deliver training programs through suitable delivery methods that most effectively build capacity of staff (including Davao Bus and DOTR PMO staff as warranted)
- Track and monitor training course completion
- Oversee career development and progression of staff
- Produce comprehensive reports on staff progression
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Development, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs for large corporate entities.
- Proven experience in successfully conducting training, capacity building, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Experience in developing training tools and training management systems.
- Certification by the Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD).
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with public transport operators/systems.
