We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Chemist to join our team in Makati. This full-time position will be assigned to one of our valued clients, where you will be responsible for conducting chemical analyses and supporting various research and development projects. Laboratory experience is highly valued for this role, but we also welcome applications from fresh graduates who are eager to start their careers in chemistry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform sample preparation in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
• Prepare reagents and standard/working solutions in accordance with SOPs.
• Performs physico-chemical analyses in compliance with SOPs and quality control guidelines.
• Participates in various proficiency / correlation programs.
• Prepares and updates reports related to the analyses performed including statistical quality control charts.
• Operates and maintains equipment used in performing analyses.
• Ensures systematic workflow of analysis by noting turnaround time and priority of analyses.
• Evaluates results obtained from analyses with coordination with immediate superiors.
• Assist the superiors and R&D team in performing method validation.
• Conducts troubleshooting of technical-related problems and suggests alternative solutions.
• Reports test equipment and instrument breakdown to immediate superior.
• Monitors inventory of glassware, reagents, chemicals, and other consumables.
• Submits request for laboratory supplies and consumables. Ensures a working stock of consumables sufficient for uninterrupted workflow.
• Maintains the proper housekeeping of the laboratory and integrity of sample.
• Maintains confidentiality of test results and other pertinent information.
• Prepares other relevant duties that may be assigned by the immediate superiors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• Laboratory experience is preferred, but fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of chemical analysis techniques and procedures.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
