Job descriptionThe role will include:
- Providing end-to-end financial and management accounting support to internal entities
- Acting as point of contact for your portfolio of clients
- Preparation of client annual financial reports (IFRS)
- Assistance with preparation and lodgement of BAS/IAS, FBT and Income Tax Returns
- Preparation of budgets and financial reports
- Providing payroll services to clients including Workers Insurance registrations, Payroll Tax and STP reporting
Essential requirements and Key Selection Criteria
To be successful, you will need:
- An accounting degree and membership of a recognized accounting body (or studying towards membership)
- With at least 4 years' experience in a senior role responsible for corporate financial management
- Extensive experience in the provision of end-to-end financial management and accounting services, including preparation of financial statements, cash flow reports, and statutory financial accounts
- Experience with treasury management
- A high level of computer literacy and experience with cloud-based software solutions
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other MS Office applications
- A friendly personality with a high attention to customer service
- Strong organisational skills, the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, plan workload, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- High level written communication skills; ability to prepare, review and edit correspondence and reports in an appropriate style.
- A high level of attention to detail and a diligent nature
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, unsupervised and independent capacity.
- A willingness to think laterally in the approach to problems that arise - to develop creative solutions to problems instead of applying the time-worn solution.
Desirable Attributes (not mandatory but will be well looked upon)
The following additional attributes would also be beneficial for the applicant:
- Experience preparing and lodging BAS and IAS statements
- Experience with payroll management
- Advanced knowledge of Xero and Microsoft Excel
